when should we reserve our date?
Some dates, particularly Saturdays during wedding season, book up as early as a year in advance. However, some dates remain open up until a couple weeks before. We’d recommend booking your DJ around at least 8 months before your event to lock in that availability. But, it’s always worth it to contact us if you’re in pinch for an event next month!
is set up time included in your price?
Yes! With us, you’ll never have to pay additional costs for setup or take down time. We prefer to arrive over an hour before your scheduled start time so that we are ready to go before your guests arrive, but that’s on our own time! The same applies for tearing down after your event.
can we choose the music played at our event?
Absolutely! You can decide how much say you want in your event playlist — we’re flexible and just want you to enjoy your event. We’ve had clients that pick every song start to finish, and others that leave it totally up to us and our expertise. Or, you can land in the middle and provide a short list of “must play” songs and leave the rest to our read of the room. It’s your event, so you get to choose! You may also dictate whether there’s room for song requests from your guests, or if you’d rather we not take requests at all.
Can we have a “do not play” list?
Yes! Sometimes this is just as important as the “must play” list. Now trust us, we won’t be out there playing the hokey pokey unless you specifically request it. But if there’s a certain genre you can’t stand, a song that reminds you of your ex, or a cheesy wedding song you want to avoid, let us know and we can be sure it won’t be played!
will you play explicit music?
We pride ourselves on integrity, professionalism, and family-friendly fun. Therefore, we will not play explicit songs in their original version. If you have a specific song request that has a clean or edited version, we’d be happy to play that for you as we see fit.
how interactive will the dj be?
This is another area where we are very flexible based on your wants and needs. We’ll let you tell us if you’d like us to be on the more conservative end of the spectrum, or if you want us pumping up the party with a lot of interaction. Anywhere in between is great too! Naturally, we’re not there to steal the show. So you’ll never hear the DJ scream, sing, or yell over the microphone. But we will do what’s necessary to keep your guests having a good time and getting them out on the dance floor in a professional way, unless you tell us otherwise.
how far will you travel?
We are happy to travel anywhere in Northeast Ohio! Additional fees may apply if your location requires an hour or more of travel time.
is gratuity required?
Gratuity is much appreciated, but completely optional! We truly exist to bless people and help alleviate stress for their special day, and affordable prices is something we feel called to. The generosity of our clients on top of that is simply a gift, not an expectation. We aren’t in it for the money, but for the memories to make your event special!
should we feed the dj?
Up to you! While it’s a nice gesture and a great convenience, it is not required. However, with setup and takedown time included, we'll often be at your event for 8 hours or more. So our only request is that you let us know ahead of time, this way we can plan ahead. If you choose to provide a meal for the DJ, we'd greatly appreciate it. But we also understand if you’re working on a tight budget!
